Baby of the Month – October 2025: Welcome, James William Fowler!

Our October Baby of the Month is the sweet James William Fowler, born to proud parents Savannah and Chase Fowler on October 23rd at 9:33 p.m. James weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 20 inches long—a perfect bundle of joy!

Savannah is one of our own, serving as a nurse in the OB department at Marshall North. Her delivery was made even more special because her sister, Katie Beth, who is also an OB nurse, was by her side serving as her labor nurse. Savannah shares that while her birth didn’t go exactly as planned—she experienced a hemorrhage—she felt completely safe and cared for by our incredible team.

“I know I was in the best hands,” Savannah said. “Everyone in the room was so knowledgeable and made sure I was well taken care of during a scary moment.”

Savannah’s doctor, Dr. Megan Zeien, was also a huge source of comfort and strength throughout her delivery.

“The way she prioritizes her patients is amazing, and her bedside manner is second to none. All of our providers are great, but Dr. Zeien is so easy to work with and get along with. You can tell she truly loves her job and her patients.”

Adding to the beauty of the day, Savannah delivered baby James in the same room where her mom gave birth to her 26 years ago. 

Savannah and her sister Katie Beth are also excited to raise their boys close in age—Katie Beth’s son is just 18 months older than James.

“I’m really looking forward to raising our sons together,” Savannah shared with a smile.

Reflecting on her experience, Savannah expressed deep gratitude for her support system—her husband, family, coworkers, and care team.

“Throughout my whole pregnancy and birth, my husband and support system have been absolutely the best and so supportive.”

She also shared how proud she is to work among such compassionate professionals:

“I feel like our labor and delivery unit is one of the best in the area. Our staff truly gets along and we genuinely care about our patients.”
